HEADWALL ROUGH-IN

• Receptacle boxes & electrical conduits mounted on support brackets within the cavity, away from the lead barrier.
• Plumbing routed through the ARSP stud in front of the radiation barrier.
• Medical gas mounted to the ARSP stud in front of the radiation barrier.
• Plywood support backing installed to the ARSP studs away from the lead shielding.
• No penetrations to the lead sheeting!

HEADWALL INSTALLED

• Headwall installed behind table to the right of the headwall the generator cabinet has all the wiring mounted inside the wall cavity.  An Architects dream - nice clean lines.

MEDICAL GAS CONTROL VALVE

• Medical gas mounted to the ARSP stud behind the gypsum board and in front of the radiation barrier.

• Medical gas control valve installed with clear access for inspections or future service.  

WALL MOUNTED SINK ROUGH-IN & LEAD APRON SUPPORT BACKING

• Sink support structure mounted in the ARSP recessed panel
• All plumbing and electrical installed in side the wall cavity away from the lead shielding.
• Lead apron backing installed to the ARSP studs.

WALL MOUNTED SINK INSTALLED

• Wall mounted sink installed away from the lead panels.
• Paper towel holder installed away from the lead panels
• Soap dispenser installed away from the lead panels.  No penetrations to the lead.
• Sink access panel installed away from the lead panels.

These photos depict current common, unacceptable installations by unqualified installers.

These feeble attempts all cause increased radiation dose to the public and staff.

Reusing pierced lead or piercing the lead is NOT in accordance with codes or guidelines - "UNBROKEN" barrier.

This unacceptable single use lead barrier must be replaced with a penetration free ARSP System .
